Proudly collaborating with my first man on the podcast! And what a conversation it was. In this episode, my friend, coach and breath work facilitator Steven Todd and I dug deep into some topics that I feel really need some airtime - modern day masculinity, what it means to be a man in today’s society, men’s work PLUS how men and women can best support one another and have healthy, loving, expansive relationships and evolve together.

In this episode:
- masculine archetypes: king, warrior, magician, lover and how to understand these within yourself
- how to know when to "do the work", where to start and the practices and tools to support growth and healing
- importance of a mens group and who you surround with
- the power of breath work for release and freedom from the past
- how men can support men, how women can support men and how men can support women in growth and evolution
- masculine / feminine dynamics within relationships

Us men, in my view being around a lot of vulnerable men and men and their emotions, we’re gentle creatures, we’re sensitive. We don’t like to admit it, I’ll speak to all men here, maybe I’ll be challenged on that, but we need comfort and safety as well. If you look at that collectively this is like a new frontier really for manhood and it’s only really come about in the last 30-40 years and the last 5-10 years where it’s been taken more seriously: going into deeper stuff and what we’ve repressed and the shame and guilt that we carry and project onto others or hide, hide our natural expression of who we really are. Creating safety is how we can support each other.

About Steven:
Steven has been on a 12 year journey of self discovery learning what it means to be a man and to deeply understand and embody freedom. It was through hitting rock bottom at the age of 27 that he got his wake up call to take full responsibility for his life, to own his feelings and emotions, to let go of his past and come back to presence. Steven now lives his life helping other people transform their life through coaching and trauma release breathwork.
