In this episode I am joined by Hannah Fox. Hannah is a yoga teacher and self-love coach, guiding humans on their journey home to themselves. Hannah’s mission is to share the healing magic of self-love with the world, a transformational practice rooted in yoga, grown from her own journey with healing her mental health and her relationship with her body.

I was inspired to speak with Hannah because she so authentically speaks around her experience with mental health. We share similarities in our stories and how we got into this work and she communicates and articulates so much of the human experience in such a beautiful way in her content. This episode reminded me how important it is to talk about the hard things. When we share our shadows, our fears, our insecurities, our struggles and our inner landscape, we remove the separation between us and we create more conscious and authentic relationships and feel more at home within ourselves and within the world. Radical self acceptance and self compassion is at the heart of our healing and growth.

In this episode:
- coping mechanisms we all use to numb or find external validation
- releasing fear of our shadows and welcoming all parts of ourselves
- de-conditioning and de-programming the parts of us which say we cannot show up in imperfect ways or be our true selves
- self-love as a practice and tangible action steps to support us on this journey

Instead of being afraid of the darkness, allowing it to move you, to move through your voice, your movement, to shake it off, to make any sound, primal scream, let that energy channel out through your being. That is what we have this amazing ability to do as humans: to channel energy, to let it flow and let it go. And that is all that emotion is - energy in movement. When we can feel the emotion and let it go, we don’t have this build up of stuff we’re not dealing with. For me depression comes around when I’m not truly letting myself feel.
